In short, the term keshi means "poppy seed" in japanese. Traditionally, keshi pearls are small, saltwater irregular pearls with strong orient and no nucleus (bead). Today, with the advancement of pearl culturing practices, we see various forms of freshwater "keshi" pearls and a growth in their popularity.

Our keshi pearls come from freshwater mollusks and are all naturally produced colours.
